School visit

After another hot morning on the block we visited the local secondary school near where we are building the house. We were welcomed by the English class and after speeches by both Principals we played a type of pass the parcel game but when the music stopped you had to go to the front of the class and sing a song. For support when one of the girls had to sing all the girls got up and sang as with the boys. The Lauries boys chose to sing the school song and Our Lady's sang one of theirs.

We then had a tour of the school and the local students got to practice their English. We were treated like superstars and were asked to sign many autographs and had our photos taken. We then had a slow bike race which quite frankly our students were pretty hopeless at and a football match. After a final group photo we said goodbye and returned to the hotel.

A treat for the girls was next with a surprise visit to a material shop and the tailor to get a tradional dress (minus the satin pants) made to bring home. They are called an Ao Dai and will be a very unique souvenir.

Tonight's dinner was another feast followed by a stroll along the river. Tomorrow we travel to Can for a weekend break.
